No I’m not dead… I don’t think and no I haven’t given up this blogging gig. Here’s a little peak at the future so you know what I’m up to before I get back to telling you all about everything I did and saw in Europe.
I landed in London some 2-3 weeks ago and with many thanks to Heather from www.theresnoplacelikeoz.com had a job interview waiting for me 2 days later. What has followed is a whirlwind of a start to my time here in London. Finding my way around to get to and from work (some 3 hours of commuting each day at the moment) as well as migrate from backpacker clothing to everyday normal people stuff.
I’m also busy trying to find some digs to call my own which is proving much harder than first thought, so feel free to offer me a place to live in your house :). No place is too bad I can assure you as my hostel while cheap is pretty much the worst place you could call home, lucky the people staying here are super awesome and there is a bar.
So as you can see between the working, shopping and trying to find somewhere to live I’m feeling very disconnected from you all. Oh and there might have been a bit of drinking getting in the way of a good old blog writing session as well. Hey what can I say its been warm in London, you gotta make the most of it.
On a good note however I do finally have access to the internet on a regular basis and will begin to bring you the tales from the road as I continued my journey from Copenhagen onto Stockholm and the rest of Europe.
I do very much appreciate the support of you all, especially from my fellow twitter friends over the last couple of weeks while I have struggled to find my feet. I have missed reading about what you are all up too and being there to continue to remind you all how amazing Vegemite really is.
Right that should about do it, next you can expect to hear more about Copenhagen and how I had to put up with Cailin from www.travelyourself.ca complain about her sore legs as we explored the Copenhagen Zoo and wandered down to Christiania.
PS: The monkey is only sleeping, he too hard a hard day out playing at the Zoo π
He’s ALIVE! Was wondering if you had given up on us over here in Florence!! Glad to see something from you π
haha Annie I sure am. Never give up on Florence, I’ll be back there again that’s for sure so keep the couch open π
CanΒ΄t wait to hear about Copenhagen.. Always wanted to go there!
http://savvyroundtheworld.wordpress.com
Hi Jon, more Copenhagen coming up tomorrow I hope. I didn’t find it well designed as other places for backpackers. Could have just been me though.
I’ve missed your posts my friend! I’m glad to know that you’re alive, just busy. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you on this side of the world. Big hugs and best wishes with getting settled!!!
Hey Andi. Yes still alive and kicking. Well if you wanna buy me a house to live in over here in London I won’t say no. Finding a place to live is the current concern.
How exciting – a new life in London! I can’t wait to read about it. And Vegemite…I’m writing a post on that topic tonight. I have to say – well, you’ll see.
Hi Sabina I’ll have to chase down your vegemite post and see what your thoughts are. I hope its all good π
You could have mentioned that the monkey was sleeping at the beginning of your post, had some of us…ok well probably just me, worried.
Hope everything is going well, and since I can’t be there to check off one of my bucket list items I was wondering if you were up for a test run for me? That is a pub crawl/hopping in London. I think if there is anyone who could do this effectively it is you. Good luck on finding a place to live, hopefully it cuts down your commute time.
Funny you say pub crawl in London. I have one of those lined up in the next few weeks π I just wish I could make use of the commute time to write but the tube is just not ideal to my writing π
Who would have known that you’d end up working with one of my favorite people in the world?! So very glad it worked out π
I think I’m trying Vegemite for the first time in the next few days…staying with my adopted family in Ballarat. There will be photos. Possibly a video.
Looking forward to reading your adventures again, but get settled in and find a flat. We’ll be waiting π
Hey Heather. I know right, crazy that things worked out and now I’m working away with him. You’ll have to come visit so I can finally meet you, sure I own you a beer or 5 for the hook up.
We’ve missed you, Chris!
Aww thanks Candice, I miss you all too.
I wondered what was happening with you, patiently waiting to hear your stories. And can’t wait to hear what it’s like to move to London.
I’ve still been here Ayngelina just not had time to do anything constructive which has been very frustrating.
Lots to tell about London when I get to it, a roller coaster of a ride is London.
You’re back! Good to hear that you’re in London now. Good luck finding a flat, hopefully one will turn up soon and your commute won’t be so long every day!
Yes Pam, well I’m attempting to be. Right now I could really use a flat somewhere. When the health inspector is visiting your hostel you know its time to move on π
Hey!!!!!!!!!!!
My legs were sore because I took part in a water exercise class in Sweden and maybe I don’t work out allllll that often! But I never made you stop once and we went to a million places ya big bum! hahaha
I’m excited to read this next post!
haha Cailin, we did go to a million places indeed. We had a ball in Copenhagen I’m glad you came to visit me there.
