I managed to snap the above photo of the sun setting over the Sea of Galilee while enjoying a meal just meters from the water’s edge. It was one of the best ways to end a day of sightseeing in Israel and very close to being the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen in my life.
While it’s called the Sea of Galilee it’s much more a lake than a sea obviously. Listed as the lowest freshwater lake in the world, it only misses out on being the lowest lake in the world thanks to the Dead Sea. To add to that, the lake is also known as the site where some of Jesus’s miracles occurred like when he walked on water making it a big tourist/religions attraction as well.
Oh, my God. This is one of these places that you must see before you die. The photo is wonderful. Is it better the real place?
Such a beautiful photo!
Just looking at the photo sends chills in my body. I bet it will be a more spiritual experience actually being there. Amazing! <3
