Some make me laugh, others captivate me with their writing and a select few actually return my messages. This week’s Travel Blogger Friday star covers off on all 3 of those and a lot more.
Abbey runs the incredibly awesome blog www.achickwithbaggage.com. No not that sort of baggage… oh hang on, nah I’m sure she means her backpack. Anyway along with having a gosh darn cool looking blog, Abbey’s also written a heap of pretty useful stuff.
I have been struggling with this for awhile so her post about How To Keep Blogging Once You’re #rtwnow was good to read. Oh and see that hashtag, well Abbey made that one up for twitter after a few of us got together and made a #rtwsoon one. She wasn’t feeling left out at all 🙂
And this post about 5 Steps to Use your iPhone Abroad for Less than $7/Month was right up my alley given I’ll be travelling Europe with my trusty iPhone. There is a heap more great content over on her blog so be sure to have a read.
Last but not least, Abbey’s also going to keep me company somewhere in Europe while everybody else I know heads off to TBEX ’10. While they are off being all cool and meeting each other we will be kicking back with beers and just all round awesomeness celebrating our own TBEX Europe style.
Which just leads me to say that everyone in this little travel blogging community I have spoken too/emailed/annoyed the crap out of over the past 5-6 months is just awesome. I don’t think I’ve met a more open and friendly bunch of people. Some day I’ll get around to sharing a beer and a chat with you all, just don’t ask me to say crikey or throw another shrimp on the barbie.. PLEASE!!!!
Great blogger to feature. Loved the iPhone piece too. Those that will be in Europe when TBEX is going on should meet in a select city and form our own travel bloggers exchange!

Embarassed that it’s taken me this long to comment on a post about me. Chris, I promise it’s NOT because I don’t love you and appreciate you to the MOON!
You have no idea how awesome it is to hear all the great feedback and I am so thrilled to have helped anyone out with anything. It’s the least I can do to repay everyone for all of the <3 and advice over the past 3 years of travelling.
Hopefully we can make TBEX Europe happen. Unfortunately, tho I promised I would moderate the event, I will be plagued witht he same dial-up that I have at this moment and am not sure how well I will be able to connect to anything resembling a live stream. I will do my best though and hope to see all of you there. It will be a late event for those of us in GMT/+1 so get ready my chickens!

hahaha good on you Abbey. I hope we can pull TBEX Europe off as well, I mean those other NON travelling people can’t have all the fun now can they 🙂
I mean… we are the ones putting the TRAVEL in TRAVEL blog exchange, right? They should have the conference in every city in the whole world all at the same time. Or offer to teleport us all to NY. One or the other. I would probably actually prefer the teleport. I’ve never tried it before but it seems fun. I may get motion sick tho with all the lightspeed movement and whatnot. Remind me to take some vicoden before we get on that spaceship. Or do you think they teleport us in like cylindrical glass tubes?
