As I’ve been learning the meaning of cold here in London the last few months, there has been serious thought put into my next foray into Europe. High on the list of countries to spend some time is Spain and the rest of southern Europe where I can soak up as much sun as my aussie skin can handle.
In my search for finding the best places to visit I’ve obviously found even more blogs to add to my regular reading. One such blog that I’m fast trying to catch up on is by Christine from christineinspain.com.
One of the first posts I read was titled the 10 Best Things About Living in Spain and who would argue with the list. After all I think everybody would love it if the Siesta was adopted world wide.
There is also a great post on the Best of Southern Spain which lists some great places to visit. I especially love the idea of being able to see Africa from Spain, maybe I’ll even have time to find a way across for a day 🙂
If your not already a regular reader I’d say get your reading glasses on and head over there. My desire to see Spain is growing with ever post I read at the moment.
What a wonderful thing to wake up to today! Thanks so much, Chris! Please do make it down here sometime this summer, I would be than happy to show you around.
Your welcome Christine, loving your blog at the moment and definitely keen to catch up when I make it down to Spain.
Three-way? We should definitely all meet up for drinks while you’re down here, Chris. Maybe I’ll even find this as a reason to come down to Algeciras. Or maybe, Christine, this can be your excuse to get out and let’s go on a roadtrip 🙂 You know roughly when you’re going to make it down to the Southside?
Abby-I won’t make you come to Algeciras if you don’t have to 🙂 Tarifa sounds like a much better option! Especially since I’m sure Chris won’t be coming until the weather heats up. Either way, let’s make it happen!
I’m still going to come visit you either way… there’s a comes bus that runs everyday from Vejer to Algeciras. But I’ll jump on the “let’s meet Chris in Tarifa” bandwagon for sure. I love me some Tarifa. Plus that’s much closer for me!
Right so Abbey and Christine it really sounds like a road is in order to me. Looking like arriving around May but still to be determined at this stage.
Woo hoo!! May sounds perfect. Can’t wait to see both of y’all!
I agree, we must start our own revolution for adopting siesta worldwide.
haha Lindsay I so agree lets get this going right away 🙂
Meanwhile, I’m finding it BALMY in London (is that sad?)! My plan is Barcelona in April… that plan is getting me through February…!
Ok, I think I’m going to send a letter to my government: I want a siesta in Slovenia, too 😛
We are here in Mexico and I am embracing the Siesta too! I love it! I would much rather work a little later into the evening if I new I would have a couple of hours off during the day. Thanks for sharing this site. Cheers
Love Christine! And yes she’s killing me with these southern Spain posts! I just HAVE to plan a trip down there!!
