While on the walking tour I took in Vilnius our guide lead us down this little alleyway. He claims it was one of the smallest streets in Vilnius but it really didn’t look anything like a street to me.
In a small opening was this rickety old stairway leading up to an even older balcony. With the worn away stone pathway below and crumbling buildings surrounding it all, you could be forgiven for thinking you had stepped back in time some 30-40 years.
Oh wow this is an awesome picture. It makes me want to see further & see whats down this lil road…
Thanks Jaime. The photo was actually taken inside a courtyard type area. You walk around in circles a bit and then back out onto the bigger streets of Vilnius where you came from.
Love it!
Thanks Andi, but I still need to master the skill you have.
Looks a bit spooky– like a scene from a film noir! Did you have to walk on the balcony, or was it possible to pass through on street level?
Oh Leslie there was no way I was walking along that balcony. We walked through from the walkway you see in the photo. There was a couple of narrow paths that opened up to this, before it looped back around.
I am so digging your black and whites lately, really nice pic.
Thanks Ayngelina. I’m a big fan of your food photos lately as well 🙂
