Leeds Castle has perhaps a more interesting past than others given its many owners but none of them seemed as interesting as its last owner, Lady Baillie. She invested a great deal of her fortune restoring the castle to its rightful glory which is obvious when you walk the rooms inside. She owned Leeds Castle from 1926 – 1974 and it was interesting to learn about how she added a pool, cinema and other entertaining facilities we would add to our own homes to a castle that was once home to Kings and Queens of the past.
