I took a helicopter ride over Panama City Beach with Panhandle Helicopters while in Florida recently and was greeted with the above as we circled above St Andrews State Park. As my first ever helicopter ride I was nervous to say the least, especially as we tipped from side to side as a turn was made. But the fear was soon forgotten as the beautiful beach and state park appeared below with the stunning colours of the water.
It’s not until you see things from above that you can really take in the beauty of some areas. Panama City Beach is lined with buildings so it’s easy to lose sight of what the area looks like but as soon as you are in the air the impact is instant.
Cool shot!
Thanks Cam was a difficult taks as the reflections from the helicopter window were terrible
It looks really nice. I think I may trip to PCB is for slightly different purpose than you. I’m heading there for this little thing the Americans call Spring Break. 😀
James I’d heard the stories of spring break in PCB, sounds like even to much partying for this little aussie to handle
Great photo! I LOVED Panama City Beach when we were there last year. It was the first place in the States I really fell in love with… There were many more after that, but PCB was the first 🙂
Nicole interesting that you loved the place. I was somewhat put off by the commercial feel to the place. It wasn’t until I took the helicopter ride that I got to appreciate the beauty that is there. It’s hard to get a feel for it when the strip is dominated by hotels and so forth that hide the beach.
Wow, looks like the perfect place for one’s first helicopter tour!
